Art is not a luxury.
It is a way of life.
It is how we heal.

FUNDRAISING

Unify Through Art empowers formerly incarcerated artists and
justice-impacted youth by fostering healing, creative expression, and
mentorship. We connect youth with artists who have transformed their own lives, inspiring resilience, leadership, and community change.

We envision a future where every formerly incarcerated artist and
justice-impacted youth has the opportunity to share their story through art, host their own exhibits, pursue careers in the arts, and access educational programs that amplify their talent and voice.

We believe in the transformative power of creative expression — not just as art, but as a tool for justice, belonging, and healing.

Our long-term goal is to raise $100,000 to open the Unify Through Art Center — a safe, vibrant space where returning citizens and community members come together to create, heal, and be seen.

First Steps: The Rooted Voices Pilot Program

A Community Canvas for Healing and Connection

Before we open the doors to our future center, we’re launching a pilot: Rooted Voices: A Community Canvas — an 8-week healing arts workshop series designed for formerly incarcerated artists and local residents.

This powerful first program will:

- Serve as a soft launch of our organization

- Build trust and visibility in the community

- Create stories, artwork, and feedback to strengthen -future grant proposals

- Share our mission in a hands-on, human-centered way

What to Expect

- Painting, storytelling, and shared creativity

- Community Days — where neighbors collaborate on public art projects

- Final Showcase — an outdoor celebration featuring art, food, and dialogue

📍 Held in a founder-owned studio near Pulaski & Lake Street

🗓 Program Details

- Duration: 8 weeks

- Target Start: August–September 2025

- Session Times: Fridays & Saturdays, 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
